August 29th, 2024 - Professor David Hollander
The author of How Basketball Can Save The World, a thought-provoking exploration into how the global phenomena that is the game and its values can help solve today’s most pressing issues. David Hollander, JD, is an assistant dean and clinical professor with the Tisch Institute for Global Sport at New York University and received NYU’s highest faculty honor, the Distinguished Teaching Award. David Hollander was be introduced by Miami Heat forward and New Hampshire’s own Duncan Robinson.
Kaleb Joseph founder of Self Help Tour, an outreach and speaker program advocating for athletes and mental health, received the 2024 Community Investments Service Award.
October 17th, 2024 - Award Winning Journalist Jane Pauley
One of America’s most respected journalists, Jane Pauley has blazed new trails throughout a broadcast career spanning more than five decades. Pauley has inspired audiences with her intelligence and integrity, serving as a role model for generations of women. In addition to her current role as host of CBS Sunday Morning, she is known as a powerful advocate for mental health awareness, using her personal story to encourage and motivate others. Jane Pauley was introduced by Nashua’s Mayor Jim Donchess.
Keene State College Journalism represented by students along with Professor Julio Del Sesto received an award for Outstanding Academic Achievement in Journalism from Community Investments Global LLC at the Nashua Center for the Arts.
The award recognizes our department’s excellence in journalism education along with the success of The Equinox, Keene State College’s student-run newspaper.
The award was presented by Jane Pauley, recipient of many prestigious journalism awards over her 50-year career.
November 3rd, 2024 - Ambassador John J. Sullivan
A career diplomat of the highest order, John Sullivan has distinguished himself as a patriot serving under presidents of both parties. His extensive experience includes former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State and former U.S. Ambassador to the Russian Federation. He is a Distinguished Senior Fellow with the National Security Law Program of Columbia University, as well as a partner in Mayer Brown’s Washington DC and New York offices, co-leading the firm’s National Security practice.
